Irritation is a weird thing. Some things get you out of your mind, other things excite you... But it still is irritating! The "AMORON" pieces deals with this fact, and is composed / orchestrated over things that have irritated me through the years - persons (if, the instrumentation is accurate to the instrument(s) the person that irritated me is/are playing / did play...), music, moods... Whatever you can think of (and beyond...).
Amoron No. 1-6 also is a suite called "ROUNDPIECES" (in danish "Rundstykker" (a small bread), see in your word explanation about this phenomenon...). Using circular techniques in the composition process, these 6 pieces also is the result of the statement that saxophone player Laura Lundfold said in the autumn of 2007 at a meeting in Billund, when these "rundstykker" were ready on the table: "Now he will write some music over this phenomenon!" He - thats me, and music... Yes, its right here!

193. PRELUDE TO ANDROPOVS ALVEDON (2010)
Scoring
Grand Piano Solo
Duration:
2-3 min.
In the early 1980s, I had a Fusion Jazz Trio together with bandmates Sveinbjörn Einarsson & Magnus Sjögren, named 4D. All material played in the band was composed by ourselves, and it was never composed on regular worksheets, or other standard devices of that time. Among other numbers, Sveinbjrn composed the lovely Andropovs Alvedon for Piano, Violin, El. Guitar & El. Bass. At a concert at the public library in Lund (Sweden) 1984-06-02, in the Green Room, it was supposed that I should preface the composition with an opener In almost 26 years, the opener of Andropovs Alvedon from that concert has rumbled in my mind. At last, I have got the (at least for me) magic moment on paper. NFAG - in respect, and by all means.
