3,33 min.

This composition deals with the term "maniac" Music, musicians, performing, composing... The composition is not published (and will never be either by the way, because it is impossible to re-create the magic moments of the premier performance (concerning personality combination, and style and musicianship)). Michael, Patrik & Niklas: You are the best/beast!!

"5 disturbing pieces"

4. SPACE (1984)
"A short dream"

Scoring:

Marimba Solo

Duration:

4-7 Min.

Composed the 25th of December 1984 as a protest!! Too many of the composers of today abuse this fabulous instrument by raping it, constructing violent sounds, using xylophone mallets, and by all means do and create terrible acts to be executed on one of the most tender sounds in musical life!! This was (and still is!!) my version of the true marimba sound.
Dedicated to Helmut von Sitar (daer, fantamal)
